What is EXW (Ex Works)?
EXW (Ex Works) means that the seller fulfills their obligation when the goods are made available for pickup at their premises or another named place (factory, warehouse, etc.). Under this term:
The buyer is responsible for all transportation costs, including export duties, shipping, insurance, and delivery to the final destination.
The seller’s responsibility ends once the goods are made available for pickup at the specified location in Taipei.
The buyer assumes all risks and costs associated with moving the goods from the seller’s premises to the final delivery point.
Buyer’s Responsibilities under EXW Taipei
Arrange for pickup and transportation from our facility in Taiwan.
Handle export clearance, duties, and customs documentation.
Pay for freight, insurance, and any additional costs related to shipping and delivery.
Bear all risks once the goods leave our premises.
Seller’s Responsibilities under EXW Taipei
Make the goods available for pickup at our Taipei location.
Ensure the goods are properly packed and ready for transport.
Provide necessary documentation for the buyer to arrange shipping.
